The SMU athletic department just announced uniform changes that will take place this season. The Mustangs will return to white helmets with a red mustang outlined in blue and have the option of wearing red, white or blue jerseys all with white pants.

DENTON, Texas (AP) - Two Denton animal shelter workers have been suspended without pay after a dog was mistakenly euthanized there. The city had picked up a 3-year-old black Labrador mix named Amicus on May 8 after the dog escaped from the yard of its owners, Shawn Snider and Beth Bayless-Snider.

Dr. William B. Stallcup Jr. spent four decades of his life serving SMU. First he was a student, then he became a teacher and administrator. He eventually became the president ad interim following the NCAA death penalty ruling in 1986.
