Letter to the Editor

The Optimist encourages reader response through letters to the editor and story comments but reserves the right to limit frequent contributors or to refuse to print letters or comments containing personal attacks, obscenity, defamation, false statements of fact or invasion of privacy. The Optimist at times may close comments to encourage readers to continue personal discussions and conversations offline or through personal e-mail.

Please limit letters and comments to 350 words or fewer. A full name and phone number must be included for verification purposes. Phone numbers will not be published. Comments submitted to the Web site may be published in the newspaper.
